SPRING!

This is blooming in the backyard. We spent all day working in the yard and in the garage! It felt good and we are really SORE but it was well worth it.This is the garage! It's been full of stuff for almost 6mo or more. Carl got some bigger tools like a table saw and jigsaw and other things from the ex husband of a friend. Then We got the shelves from mom and Carl and I bought the cork board. He's been spending time out in the garage but we've had boxes and things still piled up, it wasn't quite organized and it still isn't but it's definitely functionable and organized!Don't worry I still keep my oxygen attached. Carl's not lettin me do to much. So it's all good!I guess you could say we started our spring cleaning early!

I also went to the scrapbook store I work at (well that I used to or am temporarily not - I'm not sure how to explain it) mostly to get out of the house and to see the ladies I work with. I miss them. I miss the friendship and the good chats we have. I did buy some cute new paper to. Hence the new background.I scanned the paper so I could use the one I wanted. This one is the new My Minds Eye line! I love some of the new paper coming out and can't wait to see the new summer lines.

Awsome Banana Bread (minus the nuts)

This is what I've been doing with my time off, baking and organizing and if anyone calls me a homemaker I'll slap them! Just Kidding! Just don't call me that!
In some ways it is nice having all this time on my hands. So far I've organized the guest room - it's very comfortable now, for those who want to come stay. I've also organized the pantry twice. It's a hard one to maintain. My next goal is the master bedroom closet. Carl wants to re do it. Keep in mind I'm doing all this still draggin an oxygen cord around getting it caught on things like shoes, dog bowls, the big concentrater that comes with it, the dogs. The dogs seem to find the cord a nuisance but they aren't a lone in that department! I am just happy the cord reaches outside and as far as the pool and the trash can!

Oh yea I was gonna post my Banana Bread recipe. I found this one of my food blogs. It's a great recipe if want to add nuts you can, I can't eat them so I don't add them, but this recipe was very moist and really good. Don't let it cook too long.

Banana Bread (nuts optional)
1 1/2 C flour
1tsp baking soad
1 C white sugar
2 eggs lightly beaten
3 bananas (the more brown spots the better and the more moist the bread)
1/4 c butter melted

directions: wisk flour, soda, salt, sugar. Mix in slightly beaten eggs. Mash bananas and add to mix. (I did this in a processer/blender and it did just fine) stir in melted butter. Add to well greased pan or nonstick pan. Bake for about 40-45 until golden brown on top, be careful it will burn if cooked to long.

Happy Valentines Day
It's amazing how fast things change. In the news today I am on oxygen 24/7. They came and hooked me up yesterday. I went to the pulmonary specialist on Thursday and failed the oxygen test without trying. I should have another heart cath done sometime next week. They need to go into the right side of the chamber to check the pressure in my lungs to determine how severe the pulmonary hypertension is. I've had this since my surgeries since I was a kid.

In the meantime I have been temporarily layed off. So I have lots of time on my hands. So since my mom's been here we've been trying to occupy our minds and found a fun hobby. Making bath bombs and bath salts, I want to try lotions and soaps next and candles. It's really fun and super relaxing! We made a bunch and are giving them as Valentines Day gifts and for people who have helped us out while I've been down.

The scents I've done so far are
lavendar/vanilla (one of my favorites)
happy hearts (another favorite and LOVED the name!)

others we've done,
Breeze
China Rain
Princess
and Basil and citrus

They are made with sweet almond oil which is really good for your skin. We used Essential Oils which is the best oil for scents, it's nice and smelly (in a good way!)
They are REALLY easy to make. In fact I may have to start selling them to make up for my job lose, we'll see!

It's all Good
I have not been very good at blogging lately. I was starting to worry that it was becoming a health record, and that was not the reason that I had started blogging. I am seeing a Pulmonary specialist tomorrow a.m. I am still having difficulty and hopefully we can start getting other treatments. I have been back in the hospital and trying to stay out of it. My mom is here trying to help me get the medical stuff under control. I am VERY greatful for my family and the support they have been for me. Especially my siblings. We have a wonderful family and it is hard to be so far from them yet, we know the benefits of living here.

It's all good for now, I will try to make this fun again and start posting more.
