Feeling like Eeyore
I posted that I was feeling a bit like Eeyore today on my facebook my mom put a cute response and this about sums up how I feel right now with mounting frustrations from cardiologist and everything else that's going on.

It's snowing still," said Eeyore gloomily.
"So it is."
"And freezing."
"Is it?"
"Yes," said Eeyore. "However," he said, brightening up a little, "we haven't had an earthquake lately."

I have been a little out of the loop lately.

Last week I went to Salt Lake City, Utah to see the family! I went with my cousin Cassi. It's her Spring Break and she wanted to go up and I wanted to see everyone and be there for Gabe's surgery.

Gabe has recently had a nasty virus. He was diagnosed with Mono and spent a few days in the hospital before I went up. It was very worrisome because they discovered that his pacemaker was not working properly and needed the battery changed. They needed to get him well in order to do that but he's had high fevers. Fortunately his fever broke the day I got there and then the surgery was scheduled for Wed. He was a little scared because he's older now and knows what's going. But he did super! They even gave him his old pacemaker back! His is much bigger than mine. His also goes in his stomach, whereas mine goes in my shoulder and is much smaller. But it was good to be able to talk to him about it.

I took my oxygen with me - but I found out while I was up there that I am getting liquid oxygen sometime this week. I don't know too much about the differences yet.
I did have a hard time adjusting to the altitude changes going up there and coming back. I was a bit surprised by that!

It was AWSOME to see the new babies and they are soo cute! Baby Skye and Baby Lorelei (who they are calling Rory for short!) I did get to see everybody this time around but wish I could have done more.

So here are a few pictures from the trip.

GOOD NEWS AND BAD NEWS

I went in for the heart cath on Tuesday. It was successful in that they did find the Pulmonary Hypertension. The good news is that I am in the moderate range. The range is normally 25%-15% and I am at 19%. It's not severe that I need to be put on a transplant list but worrisome that I still need oxygen. We at first thought that would disappear. Even at the hospital Dr Baratz didn't see a need for it, however when they released me, I had to get dressed, as I was getting dressed my sats dropped in the low 80's. So I still get to keep it.

Last night I did the Sleep study for sleep apnea, I am relieved to say that I do NOT have that! However they did have to bring the oxygen pretty early in the night. So I imagine when I go back to the DR next week it will be a pretty regular thing.

I feel okay for the most part. The heart cath was not very pleasant I was coherent enough that I knew what was going on and could feel things. The shot was the worst part because they go in through the leg so they had to give me a shot in the groin and that was extremely painful.

I am not sure what I'm in for but in the meantime I've been able to qualify for unemployment and now hopefully disability. I have an appointment with them on Friday.
