This year will go out quietly. And that's okay! Today we FINALLY went and saw Harry Potter 4. The Goblet of Fire. It's my least favorite book, so I wasn't as excited to see this one, I was a little hesitant after the 3rd movie, just because so much gets missed. I understand that they can only add so much. I was a little disappointed. I did NOT like Dumbledore in either the 3rd or this movie. I do not like the actor. Dumbledore is supposed to be aging as the kids do, instead he moves around like the teenagers, he doesn't seem as mysterious or cautious in this movie. I was also disappointed in the beginning of the movie. It left out a lot of plot, especially Winky's part in finding the wand and the dark mark and Lucious Malfoy. I guess I need to go back and read the book again?!I was not happy with this movie.
I had a bit of sinus headache today, I am still fighting off this head cold. I went to bed last night at about 8pm. Then I slept again after that. We did go over to Sues' and Russ's and played a Simpsons Jeopardy game. It was HARD! Carl and Jarrott thought they were going to beat each other and they had a hard time with some of the questions.
then we came home and we are crashing for the eveing!
I feel really bad we didn't get out to Drew's open house, but Friday I came home slept, and then today did the same thing. The movie and the game were about it.

Oh man! It's over and my body and brain know it! LOL! As does everyone else! I woke up with a slight head cold Christmas morning, but I have still refused to give in to it.
Carl was off today and he was gonna come take me to lunch but I went home at 2:30, feeling pretty crappy! I was SOO tired. And I actually went to bed at 9:30 last night and we didn't get up till 8am this morning. I had to be to work at 9am. I couldn't keep my eyes open. I fiqured I can work the rest of my normal week this week.
I came home laid down and didn't get up again till Carl woke me up for dinner. He made the turkey stuffing casserole, left over from yesterday! His back is killing him. I got the heating pad out for him and he's laying down. I am just playing on the computer till I get tired again.
Why do the holidays wipe us out so?!

We did the Swedish Christmas last night. Here are a few pics, the Sis. Missionaries did come so that was kinda neat! Julie opening presents

Swedish Christmas Eve

First starts with a reading of the oldest family member or patriarch of the family reading Luke 2. Far Far used to read it in Swedish as did Herb (the best he could remember to translate!)Carl just read it in English.

Then it starts with a 7 course meal.
Sausage, Rolled Butter (done with paddles I learned this last year). Including the famous swedish meatballs and lingonberries.
and many different kinds of cheese.
Then the different breads
Then usually followed by the fish. (we leave out the lukefish Don't know how to spell it let alone eat it!).None of the true Swedes in the family will touch the stuff!
Then followed by ham
Then followed by potatoes.
A dessert is usually rice pudding. An almond is placed in the main bowl first. The person who gets the almond in there bowl will get married.

Now the candles. Each person gets their little mini candles. (we have our own candle holders, but we couldn't find them this year!) You light them at the begining of the dinner. The one who's candle is the shortest at the end of dinner has been the naughtiest!!!!

usually dinner is followed by St. Lucia. We didn't do it this year. Alexis did it for us last year. Then dancing around the Christmas tree with Swedish Christmas songs. We didn't have the room this year either so we skipped that part!
Santa comes on Christmas eve in Sweden and then Church the next day.
It's more religous in Sweden on Christmas day.
We did presents to Ben and Inger and Holly and Julie and Zane. We got them a puzzle for New Years and I did a picture for Ben and Inger with their newest Granddaughter and framed it. I doctored it in Photoshop.

Carl and I did our own Christmas this morning. It was nice we slept in till 9am and then did our presents. I got him a basketball. Since I can't replace he golf clubs just yet. I also got him a DVD (one he had but I didn't double check it! Dang it!)I also ordered his 2nd James Bond book. He's been reading the series.

He got me a very nice lighthouse necklace, which I thought I threw away with the wrapping paper! But I found it later! THank goodness! He also go me some bath stuff and lotion stuff in a really cute box. and a Journal. He gets me a journal every year! It was all wonderful!

LOL! Just kidding! It's madness I tell ya!
I have most of my Major projects done. One of them is for the baby but I don't know if I can get it done in time. I am struggling with the finished part.
The family calendar is DONE! It's printed. I am only able to do one copy. I have having trouble getting it to print. So I am sending the master to Salt Lake with Christy tomorrow. I don't know what else to do. Maybe everyone can just print their own copies. I feel terrible it's getting harder every year, but I still enjoy doing it and it's part of a tradition.
I have started Carls shopping. I had to order one of his last night, on line because I haven't been able to find it.Carls family is done and I am almost done with the one I am doing for my mom.
I am going to make gingerbread cookies for Carls work and my work. Someone at work showed me how to make these cute gingerbread wreaths. So if it works I am going to do that. Holly gave me a mini ginger bread cookie cutter, tonight to borrow, I have been looking for one EVERYWHERE! So maybe I'll do those for Christmas Eve to with Ben and Inger at the Swedish Christmas.
We had dinner with them tonight and Christy and ALexis and Janet, they leave for Salt Lake on Wed, so they did their CHristmas presents tonight. I wish I had known that or I would have taken their st
uff and had it done! GRRR! That's ok. I am having Christy take the stuff for my family up there! So they should have it on wed or thur night. She's going to FREEZEE her butt OFFF!! HA HA HA!
Have I slept - that would be NO! I was really sick this morning, like the throw up kind of sick. I don't normally get that naseuated, but it didn't matter what I did today. If I moved around a lot I felt like I was gonna throw up. I didn't have a migraine really (which normally that happens when I do). Just VERY nauseated. I made it half way through Sacrement meeting. I had to go stand out in the hall because I could feel my body temptature toasting. It was much cooler in the hall. And I started to feel better but then I was gonna throw up again.
i came home and layed down for a little while and that helped. Carl wasn't feel good when we got home from dinner so maybe it's something we ate yesterday!

Oh man it just doesn't end this week! LOL! But that's okay!
I'll start with the best stuff first! After running around getting some Christmas shopping done, I got home and there was a message from my brother Shea. He just said to call as soon as I got home. weird ! Call my cell phone SILLY PEOPLE!! So Angel had her baby girl last night! Holy Hannah!! Well, her name is really Matia Noel (not sure of the spelling!)
LOL! But holy heck she wasn't supposed to be here until Christmas Day! But Shea said it was actually really good timing. He said baby and momma are fine and beautiful! I CAN'T wait to see pictures! SOMEONE BETTER EMAIL ME SOME SOONN!!
It is a little bitter sweet because I am not there. I have been there for all of my neices and nephews births. I am even working on her Christmas present but it won't be done for another week! I told Shea that! LOL! No I'm NOT ready! LOL! But I know Angel was ready!
I am sooo soo excited! I think it's just wonderful!!

Carls mom is staying with us Till Sunday! She'll probably go to church with us tomorrow. We took her and Christy to dinner on Friday and then we went Christmas shopping today! We got Liz and Dave's present today! I am really excited about it. Actually Carl found it, it's PERFECT! Okay I think I'll quit typing in caps! LOL! That seems to be the theme this weeks! It's been totally nutso!We also took Buster to the grommer today and he looks so cute. They did a MUCH better job, we took him to a different one! We'll take Bilko next week. Then we had to stop and get him some medicine from the vet for Busters ears - he's got that ear infection again. Poor guy!

Oh and the other fun part is now I have to redo Dec on the family calendar because now I am going to change the theme part of just Dec. I'll explain later when I can show pics. But some of you don't get to see it till Christmas Day and its a secret!
Christmas Cards will be in the mail Mon or Tue!! No I did not make them! So Sorry!

OH MY GOSH!!
So there was a buzz of excitement this morning. I got to work and it was wierd not to have to clean first thing in the morning! I walked into the lab area and chatted with Robyn and Denise while we were waiting for everyone to get to the store! We were still trying to guess where we were going. We laughed and said maybe we are going on Hot Air Ballon ride or jumping out of airplanes! We were getting pretty silly! Even Teresa was getting a good laugh at it!
So we leave the store a little after 9am. As we are in the parking lot dividing into cars, Teresa and jen gave us these really cool pink handbags with goodies inside them. Mostly treats and snacks and scissors and a pink water canteen and pink gloves. Everybodys gloves were different either striped pink or pink. Something was up with the pink theme. They gave us a cute little candle holder too.
We got on the freeway and headed north. We even stopped in some little town for a potty break and they still wouldn't tell us! Some were in Jens car and some were in Teresa's car. Melissa and I sat in the back of Teresa's lexus. It was okay except that the seats were really low to the ground so our knees were a little stiff at the end. Oh but we listened to the funniest cd - some comedian by the name of Brian Reigan!?Not sure if that's how ya spell his last name But it was hysterical!
I didn't see no dairy Queen! Teresa had told me a few days before that we were going to Dairy Queen and she just wanted to see us all dress in winter clothes! LOL! She lied! LOL!
Finally we got to the Sedona exit and turned off! Robyn was still convinced we were going in a hot air ballon! LOL! Teresa asked us how good we all were on horse back. She was just teasing! Then we saw the pink jeeps! No one believed that's what we were really doing!
It was so unbelievably cool!! They had rented a pink jeep tour! She had us all put our pink gloves on. It was still pretty cold anyway and all our coats and blankets! (the other jeep!)
I have a lot of pictures so I will try to post them smalll! We had lunch at the end of the trail and then made our way back on a not so bumpy road! Our jeep caught more air. Bethanie and I couldn't stay in our seats even with our seatbelts on! I LOVE this shot I took of Jen and little Kristie!I can't wait to print these out! I don't have much time to blog tonight, because I am trying to keep myself from staying up late.
I had a bad reaction to the medication I started taking. I woke up Sat. morning with my right side numb and tingely. After it would wear off I would start to itch terribly! I thought it was just because I slept really hard and my hand was asleep. But Sunday morning - I felt like I was on speed or something. (Not that I would know what that feels like! HA HA!)I got done everything I wanted to but I was feelin a little too happy and still numb and tingley.
I was still numb this morning. So I called the drs office (the new specialist) they called me back it was the actual DR. he was in surgery but called me as soon as it got done. He said to quit taking the prescription one (he had given me samples of some other stuff ). He said to call him back on Wed. I was impressed!
The tingley feeling is wearing off slowly.

ok now - the excitement at work. The is still a ho hum about what's going on for the party on Wed. Still no one knows, but now it sounds like they are being tricky and telling us all different things, because they know we talk! LOL! They told little Kristie to bring dramamine (because she gets car sick!) and we might be in the car for a bit. Then at lunch Teresa said we were going to Dairy Queen! HA HA! I don 't believe her! The only clue they are giving us they have written on the white board. It says "dress in layers, be here at 9am sharp and DON'T forget your camera!" I chatted with Teresa (Our owner) a little bit at lunch. I told her we all thought they were just messin with our heads! She laughed! Thats when she told me we were really going to dairy queen and she just wants to see us dressed up silly (being in Arizona and in winter clothes!) I think she's CRAZY! LOL! But the suspense and wonder continues!

Today was a lot of fun! We didn't get up till almost 10am!! Holy COW! lol! It was nice. We spent the morning just relaxing. I woke up with a strange sensation on my right side. It was numb from my jaw to about my elbow, sometimes I can feel it in my fingers. It's like a tingeling sensation! It did wear off a little through the day, but it's like I could tell when it was working. Although itt didn't seem to do much for my stomach later in the day!
Anyway - we decided to walk around downtown Mesa. There are lots of cute little shops, mostly antique stores and boutique stores.
At 4 we headed up to Chandler to see Christy. We were going to dinner and then going to see the Chandler Parade of Lights. Anita and her new boyfriend and her Aunt went with us.
It was a blast! Anita and I were joking about the religiou floats! We were laugh pretty hard, she was having a hard time readin some of the signs!I told her it's just the reflection from all the lights. We were also noticing how none of the religous floats had a baby jesus. Anita said maybe it was because it was lost or they were afraid it would fall out. We decided they needed to add some bright neon lights flashing saying where he is. I told here they need a "COMING SOON!" sign! We laughed till we almost peed our pants!! ROFL! It was funny at the time! LOL! Then I told Anita she was going to hell for sure! LOL She said "Well at least I won't be bored!"

Oh and I did fiqure out why Buster is being so stubborn lately. He is mad at us - because we stole his spot on the tile in front of the fire place, well the Christmas tree is there and he is NOT happy about it!!

It's been kinda crazy around here the last couple of days! Thank heavens its FRIDAY! I can't believe it's been a week since I blogged!
We took THur off because I had my appt with my new dr the new specialist. I went to my regular dr to pick up my records from my colonoscopy and my ultra sound! I had called on Wed, they said they would have it ready for me. They did not! Suprise Suprise! GRRRR!!
So I made them pull it for me, since I had to have it for that appt.
I got to the specialist office, they checked my right in and I got right into the dr! I didn't even wait very long in the room. I was quite happy my stomach was very rumbly! It's so funny to tell Drs I have a heart murmur, they always want to listen to it - and they always have the same response. "WOW - that's quite the murmur!" LOL! Even if that's not what they are seeing me for! LOL! It always cracks me up.

Anyway - I LOVE this new dr. He was very good at asking me questions and covering all the basis, he too does not think it is the diverticulitis but something else going on! (YAH!) I didn't think so! I have not had it Long enough for it to be Irratable Bowel Syndrome, or Chrones disease. However it could still be that but in the very early stages. An ulcer was not ruled either. He said those would not have come up in the tests I had done. I was quite glad as was he that I had brought the colonoscopy and the ultrasound, that would have been his next step. He also ruled out Acid Reflux diseease, mostly because it does not rise up, it stays in my stomach and general stays in the same spot.
So he wants to try some new medications for a few weeks.He did give me one for acid just in case but he doesn't think it will do much for me. This other one - I can't remember the name of it. It's a drug normally used in a high dosage for depression, but if it's a low dose it's used as some sort of pain reliever. He explained it the same way the pharmacist does so we'll see. I go back on the 29th of Dec to see if I am responding to the medication if not they may go in and look around my stomach.
I had a few minor cramping today and the d word. I'll be glad if this helps.
We got all our running around done yesterday so this weekend we can just relax!! I put up the tree and Christmas decorations, yesterday after I got home. I even put a garland above the patio door.
Here is a picture of the tree and the moose, and one of my penquins, I have one that hangs on the tree and another that just sits on the tree. I did the tree blue and white and silver again. Only this time on the balls, I did snowflakes. I am not quite done as you can see. I need to add more balls and fix the garland beads. But we really like the blue and white lights. We also got blue and white lights for the patio, they change by themselves from blue to white.
