GOOD NEWS

Mighty Max (Mike and Jens newest little boy) is doing excellent! Still in the hospital but doing better. He's out of his little incubator and in his own crib and he's breathing on his own, but they are trying to get his weight up. They are still staying up in Portland!

Things are finally rolling. We have finally made some progress with my medical records, but it's been a very strong test in patience and getting people in charge to do what they are supposed. I have been waiting for over a month to receive records from Primary Childrens Hospital in Salt Lake. My dr's down here are requesting my pediatric records so that I can see a certain dr at the Mayo clinic, that specializes in Adult Congential Heart defects. He's the only in one the valley. Anyway, PCH has been giving the run around on the records. First they found me in the data base, but they couldn't find me in archives. They were supposed to expidite them they never did. Then they found them in the archives but they were in a different location in boxes that aren't filed properly. Then they told me they couldn't find them at all under my name. They had exhausted all their resources. I had to call twice a week to follow up with them and find out what was happening with them.
Well we went to the supervisor then the director, now some director is working on the case and called Carl this morning and they are sending them in a day or two! Sometimes it helps to call the bosses boss and get things done, they didn't apologize or anything for the miscommunication but they are at least sending the records.

In the meantime I'm still on O2 and staying home during the day, not much else to do. I am trying to keep myself busy with project. Oh the closet is almost done Carls still building shelves for it. He was also refinishing a little nightstand dresser.

We are moving along with Vaccination Station, we've had record setting days the last couple of weeks. We see 25-30 dogs (and a few cats) for vaccinations, in the space of about four hours. Last week we did 32! It's a lot of fun, We only do it every other Saturday. So if you need vaccinations for your dog or cat come see me! Its VERY inexpensive and no vet fees!

Things That make me Smile
First a shout out to Mike and Jen (my brother and his family) have had their fourth child as of yesterday! Maxwell Damian. (Very scottish name it's a trend and heritage in our family) He came into the world with minor complications. Jen has had some difficulty with this pregnancy being gestantional diabetic and dangerously high blood pressure! They wanted her to wait at least a couple more weeks but due to the dangerously high blood pressure they rushed her into surgery yesterday. They had to take her to Portland. They live in a little town on the Oregon Coast. All is well, the baby is 6wks premature but is stable. They will keep him on a cpap lung machine to help his lungs develop and keep an eye on Jen.

10 Things that make me smile (not in any particular order)
1. A new nephew!

2. Bilko after he's had a bath!

3. The smell of cut grass (at the expense of my allergies!)

4. Peanut butter& honey sandwhiches (it's the kid in me I guess)

5.That 70's show (I can watch the same episodes over and over and it still makes me laugh!

6. The warm weather

7. New photos

8. phones calls from my family

9. making cards

10. spending time with Carl

Bad Bad Blogger
I haven't felt good much of last week, just not much energy but towards the weekend it was a ittle better.
On Friday and Saturday Carl and I decided to tear apart our closet. We have a organizer shelf that sits in the middle of the closet that is totally useless. We've been itching to tear it out for some time. So yesterday we did. It's So much better. We also changed the light fixture that wasn't working. Then we finished taping the holes and patches and then primed. We have yet to prime it, but we did get the clothes hanging back up in a more organized fashion. We're going to have three spots for hanging stuff. One for dress clothes and then one for Carl and one for me. I'm shorter so I am going to have mine on the lower ends. It's not very big but it's so much better than it was. We're going to paint the walls to match the bedroom but we didn't have enough time this weekend with Easter and all.

After we did that we went and saw Monsters Vs Aliens. It was really cute! We saw the 3D version. It was cool- I'm totally fascinated with the 3d. I haven't seen any other 3D movies! yes I missed out the Jaws 3D! How did that happen I'll never know. But it was cute! I am totally excited about the Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs! But I am also SHOCKED at how many including Carl did NOT know that story! It's a classic! I Loved that book it was right in there with Where the Wild Things Are, Paddington Bear that stuff. I was a book worm growing up because I was sick a lot and I still am I always have a book.

I hope everyone had a very happy Easter! It's always my favorite holiday! I am also so greatful for what the holiday means especially for some of the struggles I've been going through.
