Carl crashed and burned today. He didn't even go to church. His meeting was cancelled this morning. He was really glad, so he just took me to Primary. My lesson was really short today - I knew it would be though, so I let the kids play hang man but they had to keep it with the lesson. They did pretty good. I am always amazed at how much these kids know? Did I know that much at that age?! I wonder?

We had dinner at the cousins. It was okay. We are talking more about the cruise with everyone now it seems! We are down to 65 days! We watched a couple of more cruise shows today. Samantha Brown on the travel channel, did her first cruise. She did the Meditteranean Cruise. But I would LOVE to do Italy in my life time. That's next on my list to Scotland. The only thing I didn't like about her show was it showed more of her excursions, than the ship. But it was also one of the big party ships, and ours is a little different crowd.Same size ship, but not a family boat. From what I am understanding. Which is okay with me.

It is nice no plans for the week. I think I will take it easy for the week till my next dr's appt on friday!

Today was definately a perfect 10, from the weather, to shopping, to feeling good!!

We started off the night last night kinda rough, Carl and Christy got in a fight.
This morning we went shopping! I finally found TWO pair of pants. One pair of Jeans and two pairs of capris! That are Capris and two sizes smaller!! I have such a hard time being so short. But Penney's had a good sale today and I like their Capris. I was more excited that I went from a 10/12 to an 8. I actually could have gotten the 8's but I got the 10's because I like them more comfortable, and they always shrink a little when I wash them. Oh I also went to Bath and Body works, I got the body spray and bath stuff, SweetPea is my new favorite scent!

I am feelin pretty good too. The shot seems to be working, pluse I started the steriod pills today. I can feel it breaking up in my face, but holy cow I have ENERGY!! I was running circles around Carl today! lol! He even took a nap because I wore him out! lol! I haven't felt this good in a long time! I am a litte worried about 'wheening' off of them. But I take two every 4hrs the first day - then 1 every four hours the next day and so on.
plus, she still wants me to take the other 2 antibotics. So so far so good.
I was a little worried to take the benedryl last night. (I take it to sleep)she said I might need it, to come down off the steroids. But I didn't take it.I was feelin a little wierd last night.

The weather is absolutely GORGEOUS! Definately Spring is in the air.

I went to the doctor - I got a steroid shot. My face was really swollen.
So I got the shot in the butt again! LOVELY! Actually it wasn't so bad. I didn't know when she was done! lol! I know that was WAY more information than you needed to know! So now i am on two antibotics and a steroid. If this doesn't work step 3. the saline wash (don't want to do that!again!) 4. CTScan followed by surgery! (don't want to do that either!) But the steroids are giving me bit of a buzz, like she said they would. But I at least feel human! LOL! I might get a lot done this weekend! LOL!

ok - that's done. Did I mention I love her!

I know it's not yet - almost! I hope! Tomorrow it's Friday and payday. Hopefully I should have a good paycheck.
Janet is staying with us through the weekend. I have my followup dr's appt tomorrow. YeAH! I am relieved to be going back in . I am feeling loads better, yesterday was not so good, but I slept good last night. If the congestion clears up, I'll be a happy camper.

Work is BORING Except that the bathroom is broken! LOL! So we are having to go next door to the Tanning Salon!. Megan came in and I showed her how to do my puppy treat tin. She's the only one who signed up for it,so I told her she could come in whenever, since she's got spring break. She's a 13 yr old and her and her mom are regulars in our store and classes.So I made a whole whooping $17 dollars.

I had my favorite KFC Honey BBQ mashed potatoe bowl for dinner. We've not done very well at our goal of not going out. But I haven't felt up to cooking for a while now! lol!

That was today... It moved sooooooo.... slow!!
I wasn't really in a hurry for it to go anywhere, but I saw the time and it was same time every time I looked at it! LOL!

It started out to be a pretty morning, a little cooler, but then this afternoon the clouds rolled in. By the time I did get to the bus it was a downpour. Fortunately the hard rain didn't last very long. Then I was waiting for the bus and it started again but more of a drizzle. A cold drizzle.There was a northwest wind that was very strong and cold.
I was wet by the time I got home. My pants and shoes anyway. I know we need it and I don't mind the rain.

When I got home I made my Banana Cupcakes that Sis. Ames had brought me the ingredients for the night before. She's a funny lady.She wears me out, but she's super sweet. I wasn't sure I was gonna make enrichement night. I had a class, but it was cancelled. I didn't have enough people. I was bumbed but not suprised.

I actually went to Enrichment night (it's an activity for the women in the ward, church we are in!I know some of you this is confusing that aren't LDS!) I hope you don't mind me going on and on about it.
I have never been to Enrichment. I am always uncomfortable. I don't know a lot of people and tend to be VERY Shy. It's gotten worse as I've gotten older! LOL!
Anyway - I helped Sis. Ames and Sis Crowley (the Primary Pres.) in the kitchen mostly. It was cool the older men (the High Priests) served us. Bro. Bodie wanted the whipping cream job, he stole it right from Sis. Ames. We were putting whipping cream on the cupcakes (several of us had madeseveral dozen)We cut them in half, put vanilla icecream in the middle, then a carmel sauce over it, with whip cream and a cherry on top. Bro. Bodie would put some on the cupcakes and then I'd add the cherry. He got very silly and messy. He mostly wanted the job so he could squirt the rest in his mouth when he was done. (mind you these are OLDER men! LOL!). Former Bishop Pothier just laughed at him he would back away from him when he came near him with the whip cream.
I still didn't know very many of them. I know the ones in the kitchen. So I was more comfortable in there. Sis Branch helped me with the icecream.
Her husband and her younger son are our Home teachers (they did Sealings with us a while back). She is super nice. Her son is also just recently out in the mission field -In Alaska (HA HA!) we used to joke about it, when they came over. Anyway - she got up announced that Danny had come home. I remember Bro. Branch had mentioned that he was struggling. With homesickness. Apparently there is more to it than that. I know how that is too. As does carl, being Return Missionaries. She mentioned that he had fallen and hit his head, and was loosing his short term memory. He was having a hard time remembering things and it was getting very discouraging for him. She said he had a little bit of depression. I talked to her a bit afterward and gave her a hug. I said I know how HARD it is. It is NOT an easy decision to make. I had to come home twice for health reasons. No matter what the circumstances its NEVER an easy decision. I know what he's going through. She was tearful and hugged me. I told her to say hello to her husband and the boys. She said she would. My heart HURTS for him. You can't explain what you are going through to ANYONE and everyone has the same shocked expression and soooo many questions. It's so hard. I don't regret my decision, it had to be done. But it still HURTS.

Anyway -that was my eventful night at my first enrichment night.
Oh and I also found out the lady Sis Thortston, my other Primary teaching companion, broke her leg skiing in Utah this weekend and is bedridden. I will call her tomorrow. Oh and Sis. Keeler is from Kaysville, she grew up in Farmington/Kaysville area,where my sister Liz is, small tiny town in Utah.

I hope I didn't just put you all to sleep.

and ten days till we go to Sweden! That's 70 days at midnight! Holy Smokes! It's coming SOO fast! I wanted to start a list tonight of things we need to start collecting for the trip. Especially stuff that I don't want to buy on the boat. Like toiletreis and stuff like that.

I am sure we will need more as the days get closer. We should be getting our cruise packets soon.

I am a little jealous of my friend Dave (see his blog!) who travels with Southwest for a living. He's a flight attendant. He is going to Scotland for his vacation! I would love to go to the land of my heritage, but I suppose we will settle for Carls heritage - for now. I am geting excited.

On a side note, we stopped by our friend Sue's house, she got a new pug. T wo actually, but the one she just got is a puppy. 3weeks old. She barked and barked at me until I picked her up and scratched her between the ears! She was almost asleep! To bad you can't do that with kids! LOL!

The rain started early this morning. Hard rain like last weekend, then it just drizzled throughout the day. If it hadn't been for our callings in church, we would have stayed in our jammies all day, it was that kind of day. We are both wiped out from last week as well.

But church was fun. I am feeling more comfortable with the kids. I even made a birthday card for little Maegan and she loved it. She turns 11 tomorrow. She's into dance I found out today.They all go Hale Elementry just up the road.

Buster and Bilko were freezing today, they stayed on the couch wrapped up in a blanket (thanks to carl for looking out for them!). Also be sure to check out their blog. They will have a blog for a little while, we will see how it goes. I saw one a while ago, that was really cute and wanted to do a simaliar thing. So check it out in my links section.

Hope everyone had a great Sunday. The only thing I have going this week is my class - If it still happens on Tues night. I don't have enough people right now.

Spring was definately in the air today! Especially this morning! The smell of the Orange blossoms was in full bloom!! It's a heavenly smell. Something Unique to Arizona but more particular to Mesa, where we live. There aren't many orange groves left, there are a few just a block from us and surrounding Mtn.View High School. It was a gorgeous morning. I told Carl I wanted to get out and get some pics of Orange groves for my blog. Maybe we can do that in the morning.

I am actually starting to clear up and breath like a normal person! So maybe the medication is doing what it's supposed to!

We went to Target today - there is a few cute spring things and easter things. Carl laughed and said maybe today 'they would have 4th of July stuff out!' since Easter was out right after Valentines Day! LOL!
Speaking of which, have you seen the new M&M Candies?! They are SOO cute. They have little prints on them in pastel colors. They have eggs and bunnies printed on them, with the letter M!I want to get some because they are so cute!

I also love the Beatrix Potter stuff. I bought a few things for the kids. I want to send an envelope for Gabe and Britton for Easter. Especially since I have stuff FINALLY done for the baby. I am so excited to send it.

I am working on some stuff for Michelles baby and getting super excited about that. All this things that are new and coming along in the next few weeks has me a little silly today.

Health - it's a funny thing!!
Sometimes we take it for granted. Sometimes we need to just be thankful for what we have.

I am tired of not feeling well. I stay pretty up beat most of the time, which is the good thing. This morning I woke up with HORRIBLE stomach cramping AGAIN! Called in sick to work. But I did find someone to cover my shift! I really don't want to go back to the dr.
I slept till 9:30 which was really nice, but stomach still wasn't right. I was okay if I sat and relaxed, but if I tried to change laundry or anything it would feel yucky again. So I've been in on the comp or scrapbooking.

I'll post more paper for Michelle and Angel here in a bit.

Carl had his follow up today as well, I did go with him. A few weeks ago he had a large skin tag removed. Well we got a little nervous because it came back with a level 1 of pre-cancerous cells. They wanted him to see a dermitologist ASAP. That was today on VERY short notice. The only time they could get him in was now or May. Well the DR came in and took one look at the report and was VERY confused. He said that the report was sounding more like it was just a wart that was removed with potential to be precancerous. It was very confusing. He has to small ones and then a large mole on his right side. They removed them and are sending them to another lab for further testing. I guess the lab our reg. doctor uses has caused panic before! Carl was NOT happy. He is a bit stressed at work just lots going on and it wasn't a good time to take the afternoon off. Especially since he has oral arguements tomorrow. I told him to be relieved that it wasn't something more serious. And the dr wasn't concerened that the others would come back with anything either. They also gave him some ointment for the spots and to do a follow up every year.

No matter what the health situation might be - I always think it could be worse. What we deal with is more minor annoyances than anything. I am greatful for the healthy parts we do have.

This was the talk of the day! Snow on the Superstition Mountains. Most of the mountain was covered Sunday morning, this was Sunday at sunset as you can tell from the pic.

This is where we went a few months ago, not this far, just down the street, where we saw all the bunnies that I got so excited about.The bunnies were at the park too, just not as many. I think because there were more people around. I will load more from Herbs camera as soon as I get the card from Carl.

I am feeling better. I managed to stop a migraine this afternoon. I thought was in trouble around noon. I started feeling the swelling going up in my face. Denise said it was turning red, fortunately I had some Motrin and some chex mix. I think the salt in it, helped my headache. I was feelin better but wiped out on my way home.

Tomorrow I have my kids class. I will be glad to have that over with too.

I am also ready for it to start warming up again. I don't like these cold tempatures.

So they have been telling us in church to pray for rain. It's been 145 days without rain, a new record for Arizona by two days. The official record (I believe is 143!
So today it POURED!!Last time the Mormons prayed for rain in Salt Lake City - downtown Salt Lake City flooded (1984approx.) It's a running LDS joke! LOL!
It started sometime around 2 or 3am. It hasn't let up all day!! The only bummer thing is that Carl and Herb had those tickets to the Spring Training Cubbies game. They were very much looking forward to it, but not at all suprised that it got rained out. And fortunately they will get refunded the tickets, because they don't reschedule the games.
We did get the errands done that we needed to, so it ended up being a very busy WET day.
I wanted to get a picture but it almost seemed like it was dark outside. And it's COLD. 40 degrees. We went from 81degrees last week to 40degrees. I don't know what the low will be for tonight.
The dogs of course REFUSE to go outside. Buster even squirmed out of his collar - he would only pee and that was it.

On the bummer side, I went to the dr yesterday. I have a full blown sinus infection. I am on heavy antibotics again. She said it's early signs of cellulitis. LOVELY!I got that when we first moved here. I could feel the sides of my nose and face area very tender like last time. I had a feeling not to let it go over the weekend. I am glad I went. She said the ulcers in my nose are VERY swollen! (yes, I am capitol happy today!lol!). I didn't even know we had ulcers in our nose!! I really like this new dr. It's the same office just different lady. I normally am Anti- lady dr, but I really liked her. She also put me back on three different allergy meds. However this one makes more sleepy, she said if it does that to call her back on mon. As far as the antibotics go, I have to take those for two weeks (just to make sure the swelling goes down). I feel okay just a little groggy and VERY congested. She wants me to try a new nasal spray too. I HATE nasal sprays, but she said this new one is supposed to be better.She said that allergy patients were all she saw that day.

I teach my first lesson tomorrow. Wish me luck! Or the kids luck!

Craziness I tell you! Oh my! Carls parents arrived on Sunday. They are staying with Christy for now. Till Friday (maybe sooner for things going on in Christy's world - that's a whole other story LATER!)Then they will stay with us, Friday till Tue. They will be in our room and we will take the air mattress. We are in the process (as I have mentioned before of reorganizing the office).It's getting a little desperate over there. The hormones of a 13yr old and a single mom. That says most of it.

Then there work. Holy crap - I AM NOT THE FREAKIN TRASH LADY! ok just had to get that out of my system. The night girls (I LOVE them to death!) but I come in the morning and the place looks like 5yr olds ran through the store and had a good time. No trash getting out, piles at the registar (my latest pet peeve! the clutter has made me crazy! lately! I am becoming anti clutter! LoL!). I don't know what the heck they do at night.
Anyway Robyn and I had a chat about it and she is upset about it, she noticed it before I did. But I always feel bad complaining about stuff like that if it's something I feel someone needs to say something about it.(that doesn't happen very often!) If I stay late the trash gets taken out, if I don't it doesn't get done.

I stayed tonight to help Paula's class. It was SUPER fun! I really had a good time. Shes very layed back, but very good at explaining things. It is fun to see the different tools everybody uses. Tonight it was a mostly the regulars that come in.

Speaking of regulars, ya just never know with people. But there is another regular, that comes in, her kids have taken my kids classes and others and so does she. Her last name is Ambrosia. I never put two and two together, but tonight, I helped her with some invitations she was doing. She was thrilled with the idea that we came up with. I said I have a Cardiologist with your same last name. (it's not so common I thought).
She said "yea that's my husband!" We laughed about how funny it is that
I hadn't mentioned it till now. I said I can't get in to see him. I can't get the nurse to call me back. She said yea unfortunately he's booked 3months out. He's the best in the valley (I already knew that from my doctor.) I said, "Yeah I love him, but I can't get in there. She said tell them you're having symptoms and how long it's been and they will bump you up. I said he's a really nice guy and I don't want to change drs for that.

Anway - back to the class. I didn't know that we got paid on the clock for being a helper but we do. COOL! Cause I am doing Denise's class tomorrow. Sweet!

I am so ready for the warmer weather. I know I can't complain much it was 81 today!! But it looks like something might be blowing in! We can only hope!! AGAIN!

But it's kickin my allergies all over the place, but I finally have an appointment with the allergy doctor again!! I am not going to get back on Allegra. I didn't like the side affects from that one and it didn't last very long.

Work was pretty boring today - except that it was bring your fussy / screaming kid to the scrapbook store. Normally I don't mind the kids, because I am not a mom and I admire their patience. But today, it was on my nerves!! Could have been the sinus headache talkin!

Herb and Janet came over for dinner. I made french bread pizza. Janet has been feeling better. She was really sick last month. She looks like she's lost a little bit of weight and she said she's breathing better. Her color looks better this time. We were worried about her the last time she was here. Herb is doing better. His insulin we are a little catious about, he's on it four times a day. We thought it was only two. He is going to have order extra for our cruise. They don't take vacations in to consideration for that stuff. Which is a bummer.
We won't talk about Christy - it just gets my blood pressure up. I love her to death, but right now, I want to strangle her!

Lots to blog today - busy day.

I was not feelin so hot this morning. I think I have a touch of the flue, I was feelin the ear stuff this week like I mentioned a little while ago, I've just been fightin off, too much to do.
I had Carl get me some Pepto Bismal so I could go to church.

Then theres church! LOL! It was a bitter sweet day. Bishop Pothier was released. He and his wife have been called to serve in the BYU/Idaho mission. It was wierd because they didn't say really what it was. But that it would be at the college. The Stake Pres released him, but he let Bishop Pothier tell us where he was going. We all know they have been preparing for some time. The new bishop is Bro. Crowley. His wife is the Primary Pres. (yea it's a given usually that they have the bishop and the primary pres are married! lol!) Then the counselors, were still Bro. Booth and Brother Bowman. (I have mentioned Bro.Bowman before too!) nice guy!Very funny too.

Oh my class! I think this is either going to be a good form of birth control! LOL! 11yr olds. Now normally I think that the calling are very inspired now I think I am just being tortured or someone is playing a very not so very funny joke! Now granted - the 11yr olds are smart cookies. Today was Noah. One of my favorite stories. Little Amy Gary was really worried about the fishies. No where does it mention the fishies. It mentions that Noah took 2 of every kind fowl, beast, insect, what have you in to the ark. She said, the rain was not salt water, so what happened to all the fishies and things in the ocean. She was very genuienly worried. I tried to ask several adults today and my only conclusion is that the ark did have different levels and noah used 'waterproof' seal called Pitch. So maybe he built a level for the fishies. I don't know pretty amazing!
And little Jayden Booth is going to give me a few gray hairs. Next week when it's my turn to teach - I am going to bring rope or velcro and tie him to his chair. Why can't an 11 yr Old SIT?! And touching each other, especially boys. We have to make them sit boy girl boy girl. Cause the boys are having thumb wars if we don't.
So next week it's MY turn to teach and what lesson do I get?! Abraham makes a covenant with Jehovah!?! LOVELY! Can't I have NOah?! I would rather worry about the fishies!!

Oh yea and then we had dinner with the cousins. Herb and Janet are here for about a week. They are stopping in after staying in St George with family. It was funny. We talked about the cruise, Herb told us that he never wants to see us eat the same thing twice! LOL! He was joking I think! lol! He said we'll be able to eat whatever our hearts desires. I said I only have two requests, Seafood and sleeping on the balcony. We have a cabin suite that we will have our own veranda patio. I might change my mind about sleeping on the patio later.
Anyway - Herb and Inger (brother and sister) got into a debate over Swedish mustard. Herb said he hasn't been able to find any like he's used to. He said it's not the same - he said the stuff he gets into was made in America and it tastes different. Inger insists its the same. I told them - "don't make me step between you two!" my family's famous fight is the "Broccoli Cheese War!" (Self explanatory) my moms sister Beth was 81/2 mos pregnant. and my other aunt debated on wether or not they didn't need the cheese ON the broccoli!! They didn't speak to each other for a LONG time!! Still don't really!

I also FINALLY bought me a new mystery book. Called "A Body in the Lighthouse!" I am a sucker for mysteries, but especially with the ocean or lighthouses involved. I am anxious to start reading it!

Did I mention I love Fridays?! Oh yea, Last week! LOL! I am not sure which I love more Fridays or Saturdays!

The new stuff is coming in by the truck loads like we though it would, we've been putting away an order that we got on Wed. We started to get to the end of it, and the new one came today. It will probably be like this till May! Oh and then Robyn kills me. I am about to leave after getting ALL my projects done and class stuff done, and she HAS to show me the new papers! OH MY GOSH! They are SOOO CUTE! She's evil. I told her she should have waited till Mon to kill me!I have been trying not to buy new stuff till I get all my projects done. Including organizing my scrap pile!

Speaking of Organizing. I am doing quite well on my New Years Resolution of Organazation. I did the pantry today and the fridge. I did a deep clean on both. Plus all the cabinets. I have tried to be good at that. House keeping is not something I am great at. Not terrible but not great either. So this is a good thing. I need to get a couple more large tots.

Oh and here is a picture of my class last month that caused me to pull a few hairs. Isn't it cute!
