A Tough Loss

It was a tough loss. The 2nd one of the season for the Packers. I must admit that playing without Favre they put up a fight. We watched the post game show with Favre interview. He also stated that he has seperated his shoulder. He didn't realize it till they took him in. He stayed on the sidelines till just about 5min left to play because GB only has two quarterbacks! I am pleased with Aaron Rodgers and he looks like the future for the Green Bay Packers. Although, I will say that my dislike for Dallas has increased. I just hope and pray that Favre will be able to continue the season. We have the NFL network and all I can say about that is Brian Gumble SHOULD NOT be a commentator for the NFL. He's an idiot. That's all I'll say about that.

I haven't been able to blog very much this week and I don't know what the next two weeks will look like. So far everything with the house is good to go. We had an inspection done last wed. The only major thing that we have to take care of right away is it's in the beginning stages of termites. Which from what I understand happens in Arizona. Either you get them or already have them or will get them so treatment is unavoidable. We are making the sellers pay for it because it had started before we were in contract. There are a few cosmetic changes mostly in the garage. There was a work bench attatched to the garage, that we had inquired about that was major selling point for Carl. When I went through the house with the inspector, we discovered they had RIPPED the work bench out of the wall. He said that was stationed in the wall and should have stayed because it was attatched to the house. However we can use that as leverage to get the to pay the termite damage. We should know on that tomorrow. Otherwise we are set to close on the 14th. We've gone to escrow already we're just finishing up last minute endless paper work. Then the packing and moving and moving begins!

Thanksgiving was very nice and quiet. It was just us, Christy and Alexis and the cousins. Carl did the turkey and stuffing again. I made my first apple pie from scratch and it was mighty tasty! I was quite excited about that!

Therapy is going much better. We actually had to cut back. I was still having some pains and I went back to the specialist just to make sure everything was ok. I have tendinitis again on the other side of the joint. The swelling was still excessive so he put me on steroids. Last Friday I had a scarey allergic reaction to the steroids so now I'm just on the antiinflamatories for awhile and therapy only two days a week.It's feeling much better and much more like I expected after surgery.We just were over doing. I have enjoyed the friendship with Tom Farnsworth (my therapist). Him being in my ward also. We've gotten to know each other pretty well I will miss it when I'm done.

In football news - The green Bay Packers are now 10-1!!!!! The Thankgiving game was scarey at first but they played much better in the 2nd half.
The HOLY WAR - BYUvs. UTAH was yesterday!! All I can say is GO COUGARS!! It was tight but they pulled it out in the end!!17-10! It's allabout the bragging rights!Oh and they are Mtn. West Conf. Champs two years running.

We did get to the temple last night to see the lights. Hence, the new photo on my header. We did get some good pics.

It's getting colder here. We went from 85*to 55* now one would not say that's cold, but chilly! We actually have to wear sweaters! Yes, we do own sweaters in Arizona!

Relax....

I slept in till 9:30 this morning. I guess Carl tried to wake me up to go to church but we obviously didn't make it. I haven't slept like that in weeks. Thank you for letting me sleep hun!!
We decided to take this weekend and do absolutely nothing because it's been a long time since we have and that we will be able to in a long time. The only thing on our agenda this weekend has been, of course, football. Go PACKERS!!

Our New House! Yeah!! I have pictures Finally! We drove by again today to see if the SOLD sign was up! It's not yet. But I wanted a better picture of the front. The stuff you see in the house isn't ours. The batteries on my camera died when we got outside to the backyard/pool area. This are pictures that we took after the 2nd showing. Except for the front of the house which I took today.

We Got IT!

After much headache and dealing with the lender we finally got a deal!!!! We own the home!
I'll post some pictures here in a bit. But I"m quite relieved more than anything. Our closing date is 10th of December?!

and a new update

well, after feeling like I wanted to cry or rip someone's head off last week, I feel a little better today just tired.
Last night we went to our friend Sue's house for a party. It was her Bday party/She got her brown belt karate party. Then today we had another friend that got married. Both are people who Carl works with. We've have become close friends. We picked Dian up at the court house (carls work) and then went to the wedding. Sunday was the only day Kim (the bride) could get the place they were having the wedding at.
Yes, Dave that means TWO weeks since we've been to church! LOL! They are going to think we dropped off the face of the earth.
We have dinner tonight with the cousins.
On the way back from the wedding, we met with Frank our realtor. We made the counter offer. We also changed the closing date. Now they've come back and said they can do a closing date either the 19th of Nov! yes, November!! I know it's the 11th today! or the 9th of December. We are shooting for the 9th of December. Mostly so we aren't making two house payments.
It looks like they will take this offer. I am still holding my breathe. We are mostly wanting this process to be over. It's exhausting both physically and emotionally. Who knew. But it's really really worth it!

Think Happy Thoughts....

I am trying really hard to think happy thoughts and keep myself busy for the next couple of days. Actually, I've been trying to do that for a week or so. So I mentioned last week that we found a house. We have decided this is THE house we want. Pool and all. It's just slightly above our budget.
But we doable. So we made an offer last Saturday. They had 5 business days to counter or accept the offer. So today would have been their day. It was our impression and the impression of our agent that this house was already in possesion of the bank. In forclosure. Which works for our benefit. They are usually quick to get it off their hands RIGHT?! Well after some confusion on their agents part, they came back and countered our offer at 3pm!!! The friday before a three day weekend!!! I'm PISSED!! And mostly just floored. Our agent and their agent were confident that once they went to the bank it was a done deal. WRONG! So we need to find a position finace wise that we are comfortable with.

I will say this I am learning a heck of a lot about what it takes to buy house. Now we have had a home before, but parents were the backbone of the financing on that - the only details we know about that were done at closing. I had no idea what it took, NOW I do! And I'm not sure I like it! LOL!

So - we counter and if we have to we counter some more. This is a very FRUSTRATING process!! Oh and here's the kicker!! They want the closing date to be the 22nd of Dec. Not only is our anniversary that day, but it's 3 days before Christmas.

This is really worth it - someone please tell me it's really worth it. I m sure when it's 115 degrees out side in the summer and we're sitting in the pool we'll think it was really worth it!

House Hunting

We may have found a house! A very good house, with a pool. A salt water pool at that! I will be holding my breathe, crossing my fingers, praying, whatever it takes. We are making an offer this weekend. We are seeing it again on Saturday, maybe I can post pics of it then.
