Summer/Birthdays/Baths
We celebrated the first day of Summer along with Fathers Day. It was also Gabe's 10th birthday. As most of you know he is the 10yr old with Hypo-Left heart. It's amazing that he's made it to 10 and he's doing tremendously well! They just changed his pace maker this past March.
We finally got Maggie in the Bath!
She protested and was not necessarly happy but it was mandatory! She was okay with being wet but it just was the process she was REALLY nervous about. She's the aguaphobia dog. We haven't been able to get her in the pool or anywhere near a hose. So we got her in the bathroom with lots of treats and bones. We didn't have any trouble getting her wet and soapy, it was getting her rinsed that was more difficult. We took the hose from the shower and didn't make her get in the tub. We soaked the bathroom floor but it worked! And she didn't freak out as much. She doesn't like being in enclosed spaces, I think because she was out in a yard for so long.
We've had more birthdays from Liz, to Carl, Shelby and Britton. Carl's mom will celebrate her's at the end of the month. Lots of fun! I'm ready for Summer. Lots of changes.

A Months' Worth
WoW! Oh I've been bad at keeping up with this thing! I mostly have my stuff on face book now.

Things are going well. It's been quite and adjustment being home all the time and finding things to keep myself busy. I feel like I still need to contribute to the house so I work on a project every day.

I was denied Disability the first time but from what I understand that's common. Most people do. But it's quite the grueling process.I think they try to weed out the people that don't really need it. It's in the appeal process now, so we'll see what happens. I am hoping I don't need to go the attorney route! We'll keep our fingers crossed!

On the good front, I am seeing a new Congential Cardiologist! I have to see him at the Childrens Hospital in Phoenix! The insurance won't let me see him at the Mayo clinic. So we are looking at switching insurances. We met with Dr Cohen today and so far are VERY impressed. He asked all the right questions. He's old school, which I think in these cases is better. He understands the history! I hope I don't have to have a heart cath again but I don't know what he's going to want to do again with his doctors. He really wants to see me at Mayo because he's got a team of dr's that does everthing. So we'll see, he's going to call me on Tuesday. He wanted a chance to read over my records and there's a lot!

So that's the scoop, nothing much else exciting to report. I'll try and post more on here, but I keep on facebook a lot more frequent.
