It's Monday what more can I say?! I would rather do this today! Especially since it was 43 degress here this morning! I was all thumbs today! I couldn't seem to hold on to anything! Maybe it's the cold weather! Or maybe just cause it's Monday! It got kinda funny towards the afternoon. I was tryin to put some new stuff away and it took my twice as long! LOL!
Ohh but On the plus side - my long lost friend Brenda came in today! And she's lookin great. She's so cute and skinny! Not that she wasn't before!She's got all this time on her hands.
Carl just informed me that he broke his toes! Ok it's Monday for Sure! LOL! He smashed them on the wall!They are nice and purple! Lucky him! Oh dear! I think we better go to be bed while we're ahead!LOL!

I live in Arizona and it's officially COLD! LOL! No really it is! There is this west wind blowing and it's like a bitter cold. Kinda wierd! I have been in a festive mood today as you can tell from my blog!
We got out the Christmas tree. All my blue lights work, but none of my white lights work! I bought a garland to go along the patio door. I need to get another strand of white lights for that. I also got little penquin ornaments for the tree. I decided I am going to start collecting penquins again. I have a small collection already and maybe moose. I have the Christmas moose that mom gave me. I put them out already, Buster seems to want to take their clothes off! LOL! They have little hats and sweaters on, maybe he thinks the moose look stupid! LOL!I'll post a picture of them tomorrow, when I get the rest of it up! I also have a little Snowman wall hanging thing, that says "let it snow!" We laugh cause we have no snow, so now it's funny to buy things that say "let it snow!" So that's what I did today, while Carl and his dad went to the car show.I didn't feel like going and Janet and Christy were going to a chick flick and I don't do chick flicks.

Later this evening, we went to ICHA BANS. It's a Japanese resturaunt, were they cook everything right there for you. It was pretty cool. We have never been there before. We were meeting an old family friend of Carls parents. It was really good.I had the teriyake salmon!! I would be happy if I didn't eat for the rest of the weekend! LOL!

OH MY GOSH! We were robbed last night! We were leaving to take me to work today and Carl noticed that my headband was on the pavement next to the car. As we got to the car, we noticed the seats were up. We had left them down, because we had the table in it yesterday. Plus Carls golf clubs! We couldn't see any signs of forced entry! Then we opened the doors, stuff was EVERYWHERE, the sun visor was taken apart, all the CD's were gone. The emergency kit and first aidekit and Carls clubs! But his shoes were still there! LOL! We thought they stole his prescription sunglasses, but we found those later. They cleaned out the glove box, including the manual and all our registration information and Jiffy Lube and SunDevil Auto reciepts! How crazy is that!
We filed a police report and insurance report but they said because it wasn't broken into, the deductible wouldn't cover it. We are SHOCKED! Why would someone steal the manual and the Jiffy Lube reciepts! What they heck! They were abviously looking for credit card information. The only thing we could think that had that on it was the registration, because we had just renewed on online and had the printed out reciept, because we hadn't gotten the cards yet.
There was stuff all over my seat in the car, I didn't want to touch it.
I was an hour late for work, we had Carls dad come out and get me. Carl went with us, while we were waiting for the police to call back.
The office to the apartment complex was closed today and the gates were locked so we couldn't fiqure out how they got into the car or the complex!
Well as the night wore on, we had dinner with some friends out in Tempe. I went to get into the car and the key hole and part of the handle was missing! It had fallen inside the door and had looked like someone smashed it, they must have tried to put it back and then when I closed or open the door it fell through. So that's how they got in! We felt better knowing we had locked the doors, but still the violation feeling was worse, because we targeted. The passenger side door faces the dumpster it's hard to see from a front view if someone would have been breaking in. We will bring this issue up with the apartments tomorrow.
As well as letting the insurance and the police know the door is broken. They said to call if anything else was damaged or missing.
Why - Why would someone do such a STUPID senseless act!!

Happy Turkey DAY!

Happy Turkey Day Everyone! I hope everyone had a fun day wherever you are! I miss those who I am not with this year!
We started early at 7am! I started my rolls, I did my pumpkin roll minus the nuts this year. I wasn't sure it was going to turn out the same, but it was a hit again as usual.
Carl did the homemade stuffing, which was WONDERFUL! I actually ended up doubling my roll recipe.I needed 3doz, but I actually ended up with 6doz! LOL!
We had dinner at the house Christy was house sitting at. The people we know pretty well anyway and invited us to have it there while they were in San Diego. It gave us enough room, since all of us including Ben and Inger and Julie are in apartments! Ben and Inger also had Ben's brother and sister in law in town.
The food was all wonderful! Oh my there was SOOO much of it!
Inger had this weird idea that she wanted to do this Murder Mystery Dinner thing. It was kinda wierd. We each had a name and a script. Usually its supposed to be acted out and stuff but we just read it through dinner. It was kinda wierd!
We spent the rest of the afternoon watching football and chatting!
It was a great Thanksgiving!
I am very thankful for my family! I miss the ones who are not here. I know it's a little different but it's all good.

THE HOLY WAR~

Today is the day in College football world and in the LDS world known as the "Holy War!" It was kinda funny to here them call it the same thing on ESPN today! The BYU vs. Utah game has become a highlight to kick of the holiday season. It is usually between confrence and Thanksgiving.
We celebrated it this year with Ben and Inger, Holly, Christy and Zane.
Ben and Inger and Holly and Zane are BYU fans as are Carl and I. Some of their kids though - go to the UofU so they are red blood. I have watched the BYU games for as long as I can remember. It is one of the reasons, I grew to love football. You could say we are blue blood!
I suppose I can thank the Singleys for that. Lisa Singley was aBYU season ticket holder, so if she didn't have tickets to the game,we would watch it with the Singleys or a party at our house, where ever it was there was always LOADS of yummy food around and a HUGE event. I have been to a few games my self. Being there is half fun but staying home and eating is my favorite part!
Today was no exception. We dropped the car off today to have the timing belt fixed. But since Carls parents are here, Herb picked up Carl this morning and they took care of it, and too us up to Ben and Ingers.
It was nice we didn't have to rush we could just hang out there all day!
We picked up wings at Carls favorite wing place, Holly ordered pizza and we picked up nachos. Inger made this really yummy cream cheese bacon dip. It too reminded me of the infamous Singley clam dip.
Unfortunately BYU was behind most of the football game. They started to make a come back in the third quarter - but this time they couldn't seem to pull it off. We had to leave at the 4th quarter to go pick up the car!
That's one less stress and to have done before the holidays -the car I mean!
Oh and my other favorite part of the day, was Carl has wanted to get me a craft table for some time. Well he got the Lowes ad at work last week and they had one like Holly's that folds down. It was on Sale till Sun so he's been wanting to go pick it up! So after we picked up the car we went and picked up the table! I LOVE IT!!! I am very proud of myself! I have started to get things organized!
REmember how I posted that a few weeks ago!? About wanting to get organized! I will post some pictures in the next couple of days but I am making progress. The good part about not being able to sleep because I don't feel good, I get up and say I might as well be productive! LOL!
Oh and we won't discuss my doctors office again! Lets just say it's taken me two days to get my prescription filled, they have the paper work, but they didn't fax it to the pharmacy before they closed at 2pm today! Wheres my angry face!!!!
But it's been a WONDERFUL WONDERFUL day!!

The winds are changing. It's that time of year again. I am feeling a little nostalgic! I always do this time of year for SOO many reasons! This year is different than in years past. I am far away from people I love dearly. That's not to say I don't love those who are with me side by side every day! I feel the winds of change coming again. Wether it's to find a house, or new job or just the change in the weather!
I suppose it's because I have started my annual calendar! This is one of the reasons I struggled with the decision to make or not make the family calendar. I have been doing it since 1999. It has special meaning to me. But it's also painful in some ways this year. I miss my family.
Maybe it was because we talked to Aunt Kathy tonight. It made me a little sad. Yes, I can talk to my family, but the realization doesn't strike me. They are always there, no matter how far about the miles. I hope that' doesn't sound too strange!
I am also struggling with the emotion of missing Michelle and Angel having their babies and the possibility that I can not be there for this HUGE and special event! I have been there for all of the birthss of my neices and nephews if not right after, excepts Gabes (we were in Oregon when he was born early!). Angel emailed me for ideas for shower invitations and baby announcement ideas, I would love to.

Ok I am done being sad! I hope that's the sadness won't last long. I still miss them - but I don't like to be sad!

I amd still touch and go -with health stuff.
I had Carl give me a blessing on Mon night, I had another yucky attack and as sinus infection on top of that. The not sleeping in 5 days was catching up to me! On the way home today - I felt human for the first time in a week or so! The power of the Priesthood is an AMAZING thing!

It was fun but crazy weekend! Saturday was a blast! I met up with a bunch of girls that I know through the scrapbooking world. Some come into the store on regular, a few others came down from Washington st. We chat on scrapbook board. It was a blast! We had lunch at Texas Road House! Few of us had been there. It was all about their yummy rolls. Maddy and Kerry just wanted to take the butter home!! LOL! Kerry loved that she could throw the peanuts on the floor. Cherry of course was a riot!
(cherry's not her real name - but that's what we call her and they call me Mimi). She got great pics! As soon as she emails me the group one I'll post it on the blog.

I got one of my projects done. I don't know if I am entirely happy with it, the pattern came out right, but I am not sure about the size.

There was a ton more I was gonna post about but for some reason my mind is not working this evening! If I get my 2nd wind - I'll get on and post more!

Have I mentioned before that I HATE the phone! Oh MY GOSH! It was ringing off the hook today! It got to the point, that Teresa (the owner) was answering line #2 because I was on line #1! We weren't all that busy but the phone would back us up a bit, it was wierd! She even made a comment to me about. We laughed about it later. I said she should just make me the secretary! lol!
Poor Megan! She quit today! I hate that everyone is quiting. Aubrey quit last week. Now with Brenda, Jenni and Aubrey and now Megan! In less than 2months! How crazy is that! Speaking of Jenni and Brenda! Jenni came in today! It was SOOO nice to see her! I MISS those guys! They are soo much fun!

I got off early today at 2pm - so I could get some of my dr stuff taken care of! Which I did. I have a NEW specialist I am seeing on the 1st of Dec and then the OBGYN on the 14th of Dec!
That time of the month - this week and yesterday I could hardley walk! The sharp pain seems to be in full force then - so I am now I am going back to my original thinking that that's the source of the pain. A cist maybe?! I would think that would show in the ct scan?!
Anyway - enough about that - I'm sure ya all don't wanna know the details! I was able to be home by 3 today and get stuff done! Then I finished putting Sue's bday stuff together! I bought her a bunch of Scouts, Camping, dog, and Karate scrapbook stuff. It's really cool. I also made her a really cool bday card with the Vikings football helmet! I am lovin the card thing! I love making cards!

Before I went to my staff meeting - Brenda called! Kinda wierd since were talking about her today! It was so good to talk to her, she has an MRI tomorrow. She was a little nervous.

The staff meeting was pretty boring. But they kept it rather short! We still dont' have any guesses on the party on the 7th. We THINK we are going somewhere. Teresa and Jen told us to just wear nice jeans or something and to dress warm, we would be coming back to the store later, too, but she didn't elaborate. And that we couldn't sign the RSVP sheet unless we knew for SURE we could be there. I already signed up a few days ago.

Oh it's so funny we take the dogs out on their leashes in the morning real early and then when we get home and then again before bed, so they can get their excersise. Usually their aren't other people out and about so less distractions. So after they do their business, we take their leashes off. Sometimes we are across, this little grass quad area, in front. I told Buster "Let's go home" He hurried to the apartment entrance by himself, he knew excactly which one it was and where to go, but then he got to the door and realized I wasn't with him, so he came back out to the end of the side walk and on the sidewalk and waited for me to come home! He's a good dog!

Today we just felt like being couch potatoes. We got stuff ready to go to church, but neither one of us felt like it. We literally sat on the couch and watched t.v. Mostly football, but flipped in between a couple of movies. We started with the Bugs Bunny Road Runner movie. We were in the mood to watch cartoons! LOL! Ya know the poor Wylie Coyote is not the sharpest pencil in the box! If he would do his stunts BEFORE the Road Runner said "BEEP BEEP" he just might get a head start. His stragety is just little slow! But then sometimes don't we all feel like Poor Wylie Coyote?!

I am soooo glad it's friday!!

I had a good pay check today! our silly digital guy came today, he was supposed to come tomorrow! So our plans for the evening were a little backed up.
We had to go straight from my work to the bank, then home to let the dogs out change, get something to eat, then we had Jarrotts soccor game.
It was really fun. They are 13yrs olds, Jarrott, plays the goalie, but Sue said he has a bad cough and wasn't feeling well, so he wasn't into runnning like he should.
We were out by Red Mountain High School. It was cold, but we refused to put sweaters on! It's Arizona! It's not supposed to get cold!
Anyway at I didnt' notice it till the end of the game, Sue pointed out all the little rabbits at the end of the field. She said sometimes they fill the field! So Carl and I went to get a closer look - it was all good till he sneezed! They didn't scatter too far! They were SOOO Cute! They had little white tails. I thought they were jack rabbits. I did not have my camera! I was so mad! I told Carl I would LOVE to come out here and get some pics of wildlife! We could see something lurking in the bushes. All we could see was the butt and what looked like a tail. But it was ALOT bigger than the bunnies. The bunnies were little and very round!
Sue said they get coyotes and javalina? (don't know if I spelled that right!) they stay on the other side of the fence.
I came home and had to look up what kind of bunnies they were! I am going to try and go back tomorrow, see if we can get more pics, If I can talk Carl into it!
Here is a pic I found on line, I think they are desert cottontails. They weren't jack rabbits like I first thought, they had different ears and white fluffy tail, like a cotton tail. Here is a desert cotton tail.
I am allergic to the deseret weed grass, it's givin me a terrible fit!
Sometimes I forget I live in the desert!

The last two days have been intresting!
First yesterday - the Dr's office screwed up AGAIN! They had my appt booked for yesterday morning with a totally different dr AGAIN! Even though Robyn even said she was standing there with me when I made the appointment!So she said she would have to over book the scheduling. I said "you do what you need to do, but get me in tomorrow!" so she scheduled me for 1pm today.
In the long run, schedule wise - it worked out better for Carl and I at work. We ended up missing more time, but that's okay!
Well we get there today and I checked in, Normally they call you up after you sign in to take care of all your stuff. THey didn't call me up. I was starting to get a little irriatated I'd already been there 1/2 hr. So I double checked to make sure I did sign in and my name is crossed off. I asked the reception and she said they already pulled my records and I could do my co-pay at the end! She was not very nice. She could have told me they already checked me in.When I asked the first time they said they were finding out what was going on, now they had already checked me in! What is WRONG With this Dr's office!!
So I finally saw Dr. Freburg! My DR! The nurse apologized.She did my blood pressure and it was a little high! We laughed!
Dr. Freburg said to keep taking the medication, but he wants to send me to another specialist and gave me a referral for an OBGYN. Which I need to do anyway and we talked about that.
It was nice to get off early today! Carl went and bought Star Wars III. I told him he had to be done by 8 so I could watch Martha! I didn't want to watch it on the little tv in the office. But he had plenty of time! LOL!
