Bilkos new shave! I love it when he gets his new hair cut! He's like a puppy again too, he feels good!

It's nice because we're just startin to have our heat wave.
We had a great 4th of July! We had the family over, we decided to start out tradition and do our own breakfast! I made scones/ or elephant ears. Like you get at the fair. My mom used to make them when we were kids. They are soo good! The recipe I used was awsome! If I can find it again I'll post it. They were perfect with melted butter, cinnamon sugar, powdered sugar, chocolate sauce and powdered sugar! They were light and fluffy and crisp in the right places! That's definately going to be a tradition.
We did have some excitement at the end of the month with Carls work. Most of you know that Carl works at the Supreme Court. The State of Arizona has had a budget crisis for the last year. They had until the 30th at midnight to pass the new budget or they risk going into government shutdown. Well it didn't pass. However, Carl being in the Supreme Court was required to still be in the office whether it passed or not. The only fear was whether or not he would get paid. But it all has worked out. The budget still has not passed. They were on emergency funding and it's worked out. I have NOT been impressed with local representatives and the Governor. They have been playing dirty politics. It's been very infuriating as well as eye opening.
Otherwise it's been pretty slow! Still waiting to hear about the appeal process from disability. They've sent more forms and more things I've had to fax over to them. I now have a case worker which is nice for when I have questions. I hope we'll hear something in the next few weeks. Keep your fingers crossed
I start new testing on the 28th of July with the new cardiologist and looking forward to it!
