Fun & Useless Information
Last night we went to Di's house. We went to dinner with her at Applebee's. She just bought a new house and was so excited to show us! She's so funny! She told me all about the bunnies that come out and play in her yard. She moved just down the street and around the corner from her old house. She's out in Awahatukee! ( I know I butchered that spelling!) it's about 35 mins from us. Basically on the edge of town. But she LOVES it. She's got a really cute place. She's having a blast decorating it. We were going to go back to her house for dessert but Carl had to come and make his ribs for work. They were having a rib 'throwdown' (with no voting ha ha ha!) between him and one of the other gals at work. It was 9pm when we got home. Carl usually bakes his ribs for about two hours, coats them then marinates them. The sauce is the secret. But it's the bomb! I don't know how else to say it! LOL! We went swimming while we waited for them. It was like swimming in bath water! The water is 90*!! It's been hovering right around 110-113*outside y. We did the same thing tonight. Before too long we'll have to run the pump while were swimming so the fountains will cool it off!

On another note- I did see something that fascinated me! I am easily fascinated! LOL! We were driving either to di's or home from Herb and Janets (can't remember which I just know it was this weekend!) and we saw a cow field. The cows were laying down. One by one! It was the strangest thing I ever saw! DON'T LAUGH DAVE! They must be tired from all this heat?! Who knew! I have never seen them lie down. How do they get up!?

Here's some other fascinating things I learned in an email that was sent to me by my step dad!

Get Rid Of Ants
(steph this ones for you, maybe you can try it with other creepy crawly things!)
Put small piles of cornmeal where you see ants They eat it, take it "home," can't
digest it so it kills them. It may take a week or so, especially if it rains, but it works
and you don't have the worry about pets or small children being harmed!
Measuring Cups

Before you pour sticky substances into a measuring cup, fill with hot water.
Dump out the hot water, but don't dry cup. Next, add your ingredient, such
as peanut butter, and watch how easily it comes right out.
Banana's
Peel a banana from the bottom and you won't have to
pick the little "stringy things" off of it. That's how the primates do it.

Where's the Beef?! Add a teaspoon of water when frying ground beef.
It will help pull the grease away from the meat while cooking.. I didn't know you could peel your banana backwards! I don't like banana's so I'll leave that one for the rest of you to try!
