small updates and a few corrections...
first and formost
First, my apologies to those I tagged. Forgive me for it being so long. I'm not very good at those. But it was fun to read them - you learn something new every day!2nd Carl is really only 33 and not 34. It's okay, Becky -he's still younger than me LOL! and in the good news....
Chris is home. They released him on Sunday. Once they got his pain under control he was in much better shape. Understandable. He is EXTREMELY lucky. it was 10ft instead of 8. But who's counting! LOL! It sounds like the roof caved in or the eaves of the roof caved in. He said he knew he was gonna fall and couldn't do much about it. We did get to talk to him the night he came home and he sounded much better! He will loose the full swing in his arm, which I noted before, but he still has use of his hands. He's has metal plates in his shoulder and his elbow. The little ball in his elbow is metal now. He still has painful and LONG recovery ahead of him, but it could have been a lot worse. Everyone keeps me telling me that too. My heart goes out to him. He and Carl can share the horror of having to be in a sling for 6wks. (although Chris's will be MUCH longer!). And also the joy and pains of physical therapy. All three of us have been there.
I don't know that I am going to be able to make it to Salt Lake like I really wanted to. Both of us did. It breaks my heart - so I apologize in advance to Shea for missing college graduation and Liz for missing her play. She's in a play called Nunsense. She's also very talented and will do an amazing job! Good luck to both of them.
I have a heavy heart and am a little sad. I wish this was a more upbeat post. I think Carl and I are near exhaustation but trying to stay positive and look forward to next month. There's always something to look forward to.
