A Good Day
Lately if we have a good day we celebrate it. It's a good day today. After a frustrating night of watching the Suns loose (a sore subject!) we had a successful day. All except for the extremely frustrating shopping experience at Walmart. NEVER again will I buy groceries at Walmart!! We usually only go there if we need something for the house or the dogs, we usually get a good selection and the one near my work is new and clean. The hardest part was trying to find a lane open or one that didn't have an eternal line or people buying three times as many items as we were. Our cart was about half full. We ended up doing the self check out. I usually like the self check out better. I try not to go if I have more than 10 items, but this time there weren't any options. That was all that was open. The scale was being super sensitive and kept asking for associate assistance. It was unusually frustrating. That and we didn't save much more than if we went to Frys where we normally shop. We just needed a few extra things at Walmart. But we did get everything we needed without making extra trips to Target and Petsmart, etc etc.

But it was a good day. I got a lot done at work. I feel like I'm getting caught up! I have several projects I'm trying to complete. But it's making time go by fast.

The best part of the day was we took Maggie and Bilko to the dog park! Now, Maggie hasn't been in the car except to go with Liz once in a blue moon when she lived in Utah. And when we brought her home!Mom says she doesn't think she ever left the back yard, except when they came to their house once in a while. Let alone to the dog park. She was SUPER excited to go for a ride. But she couldn't decide which window she wanted to get fresh air! I was a little concerned she would just take off, once we let her inside the gate without her leash. But she cautiously excited. She would wander and check out the other dogs, but she wanted to know where Carl or I were most of the time. Most of the time she's make sure she knew where Carl was. I wish I could have pictures but it was too dark already. She LOVED it! She was excellent with the other dogs. When we were ready to go so was she. Her commands are a little shaky so we need to work on that more, but she did come most of the time when we called her. She's also getting better on a leash. We just need more practice. But once we got home it was amazing how tired she was and more calm she was. I think she was getting a little bit of cabin fever. So we've decided that till it gets too hot this will be a weekly activity one or two nights a week. It's good for both of them! Bilko even checked out the other big dogs! He usually growls at them! So that was worth the adventure!
