Because it's been so long!
When Carl and I were in Stockholm,Sweden, last summer. We had just arrived and had not yet got on the cruise. We stopped and had dinner at Hard Rock. It's been a tradition (sort of) for Carl and I to stop by the Hard Rock in the different places we've been. If it's possible. So we did Stockholm. Being Herbs hometown. Anyway - we had dinner and as we were having dinner this song came on. I found it really ironic that we were sitting in an European country listing to John Cougar "Ain't that America , for you & me, Ain't that America , Something to see baby... " ya get the picture! So now every time I hear that song - instead of thinking of America - I'm gonna think of Stockholm! It made me laugh. I mentioned to Carl as we were having dinner. It's always been a favorite so now it's always on my playlists.
I guess you could say that I am a classic rock kinda girl. I like country too, but if I had a choice I would choose Classic Rock. I miss going to work listening to the classic rock station. Did I just say I miss going to work! Oh it has been too long!
Speaking of which, I am down another week. Saw the dr on Wed. the Cast came off. Thank goodness. Apparently they thought I had just a knee bandage on, not the whole leg wrapped, so when the dr's office told me on Monday I couldn't take it off, they though I only had the other bandage. So I was a little annoyed that I kept the thing on for a whole week. Not to mention that it stuck to my leg from the medicine they put on it, they had to peel it off. I still am washing some off in the tub. The nurse felt bad. She said the hospital did not give very clear instructions. I was supposed to clean it with peroxide every day. Who knew?!! My knee was the size of a basketball when we took the wrap off, now it's down to about a softball! LOL! The meniscus tear was bad. We saw the pictures. Even the DR said he was suprised, for someone as little as I am. It was shredded on both sides of my knee. He told me to " ice the crap out of it" and take another week off if I can.It made me laugh that he said "Crap!" lol! I don't know why! It's pretty black and blue and green. It's pretty gross. Maybe one day I'll post pictures. I bruise easy. But dang! I'm very wobbly to walk and it's pretty numb still, but it's getting better every day. Hopefully I can go back to work sometime next week, because I'm getting bored! I can't do a whole lot moving wise.
On another note - Janet is doing well. She's sore as to be expected. She's still on oxygen as far as I know all her other tubes are out. She had a chest tube for a few days. She is at home resting. Christy has been up there - she will be back on Sunday. Oh and we've had Peanut (her little dog) since I've had my surgery! It's been a picnic! LOL! That's all I'll say about that.
