The NFL draft started today with some very suprising results. I am a little unsettled with Green Bay's pick!?I know their defensive line needs help but why this early in the picks?!
Once upon a time ... I knew this stuff backwards and forwards. Sports was my passion way more than scrapbooking ever was. I have decided I need to pick it up again. I have always maintained my loyalty to the Packers (even though it got me in trouble in Fantasy Football) I don't know the 'who's who' anymore and the positions are sketchy to me now. I know enough of the Packers to be unsettled about picking DT Justin Harrell from Tenn.

Watching the Suns playoffs game is the same. I have boxes somewhere (probably at mom's) of articles and reports and pictures of Suns and Jazz games. It was my inspiration for becoming Assit. Sports Editor of our high school newspaper. What happened? I'm not really sure. Changes of other things in my life. But I still love to watch the games. There is something about the excitment and the thrill of the games. I have vowed this season to regain a bit (not so much as the extreme I had before) of the passion I had before.
Except baseball. That is Carls 1st passion in the sports world. I can go to the games and I love being in the ball park, but don't make me watch it on t.v. for more than 10-15 min at a time without going stir crazy! Don't hate me Dawn! LOL!

it's ok. i know Red Sox & Yankees fans are an obsessed breed all their own. ;-) to paraphrase Curt Schilling: in Boston, there's Red Sox & Catholicism, and not necessarily in that order.

i don't watch college football & I don't know anything about a single player in the draft. they could stick a janitor up there & i wouldn't know the difference. i know that the Patriots had three picks for the first day & i checked this morning to see what positions they decided to fill with their picks (that is only part that concerns me) -- and they traded one of their first round picks to the 49ers & their third round pick to the Raiders! =O i guess they felt the available players at the time of those picks were not worthy of going in those rounds? i don't know. in Bill we trust... the one first round pick they did use was for a safety. they have four picks today, two of which are ineligible to be traded because they are compesatory. interesting...

That whole entry was in some other language to me. I'm SO not a sports person! Sorry Amy! BUT I did want to say hello since I haven't checked in on your blog in awhile.

I hope all is well!
