Scenes From a Day Off
Heres the scenes from a day off today...
5 dozen cookies.
We dropped these off tonight with the candies.
To people in the ward. I have always wanted to do this.
It's kinda funny, the Cafferys had the same idea. They were
right in front of us at every house. A lot of people weren't home
We forgot its young women/men night and scouts. But we did chat with th Bradshaws and the Greens. Its funny we had trouble finding the Greens house in the dark, till Carl spotted her swedish candle holder in the window. (they are the ones that are good friends with Carls cousins in Detroit.) We also went to pull up the ward list and we've been moved to other ward already! That was FAST!! So we had to ask Cafferys which house was the Bishops, it's hard to find stuff in the dark! LOL!
This was my other project over the last two days, besides the 8 paper bag books I made. Which are almost done. These are porcelin, I got them at Michaels super cheap. Carls friend Karen at work is into Butterflies. (she'll get them in the morning) so I'm not too worried, she'll she this before them! They are doing an ornament exchange. Do you know how HARD it is to find Butterfly ornaments. So I am making them. I bought the porcelin balls, like I said at Michaels for cheap and then bought glittery butterfly decals. The hard part was find glue to get them to stick without bubbling. There is a new craft glue I got at Walgreens and it worked great. It's a lot like super glue. It's stuck all over my fingers! LOL! I wish you could see the colors. They are purple and yellow, and then I tied the tops with real purple gingam ribbon. The glitter made it hard to show up in the picture.
This was what I spent a good part of the morning doing. The kitchen is packed. We are 90% done. The only thing I don't have in a box, is the glasses and plates. We need a few more little boxes. And then a few things on my office desk. But my scrapbook stuff is done for now. All of my BIG projects are done! WAHOO!! I am feeling a sense of accomplisment. I hope this isn't all boring you all to tears. The last - the dogs idea of a day off!
