It's official. We have been released. It was a lot harder than I even thought it was gonna be. I have become more attatched to these kids and this ward than I thought. We arrived to church early because we were speaking. I was already emotional. Carl and I read each other what we had written, and I couldn't get through it. I kept getting chocked up. We got to church and were greeted by Bro. Booth (Jayden in my class, his dad).I've talked about them before. He is our 2nd counselor. He informed me that I was being released today, just so I was prepared. I thanked him because I was already struggling not to cry. We laughed. I don't cry, not even at chick flicks or sentimental stuff, but this was hard. We had two youth speakers before us, but they were done in five minutes flat for the two of them. We had an half hour left! Normally we have 20 min 10 min for each of us. Fortunately it worked out. I talked about the Star and how following the star lead the wisemen to find Baby Jesus and how if we stay focused on the star we will find Christ. I was scared to death. I haven't talked since I passed out in the mission field, more than ten years ago. I was gonna tell that part, but I didn't want to make them nervous! LOL! But I did wear my boots so they could see me. I got through or everyone tells me I did and loved it. So I hope I made sense.
It's kinda funny we are starting to get to know people and now we are leaving and we'll be going to another ward. They told us to come back and visit. We have become attatched to this stake anyway, since Carl and I were both in this stake as teenagers. So we have sentimental value as well.
The kids didn't take it so well either. They were hoping I was going to be their till the end of the year. I explained to them, I didn't know the Bishops plan (which I didn't till today) but was not suprised that I was released. But they want to have a party still, so I got figure that out. We want to do it next Tues. I'll probably have them all over to the new BIGGER apt.
Carl had a hard time today too. He and Bryce have gotten to be good friends. We aren't going very far, so hopefully we will still be able to keep in touch with people and tabs on everyone.
I am going to make cookies this week, in the shape of stars with a quote I used in my talk.
Oh be sure to check out the post below, for Carls Chritmas party.
6 more days till moving day!!!!
