So today we learned the bible story of Issac and Rebekah. It was an 'arranged' marriage. We talked about the story and marriage and how important it is to find the 'right person'. We talked about how this used to be a custom and still is in parts of the world. I asked the kids if they would trust their parents to 'pick' a spouse for them! (I have 3 boys and 3 girls.) they all said NO!! LOL! One of the girls told me that her dad told her to date lots of men, but not all at the same time!! LOL! She said he did that once and got caught! She said that he said 'that was not a good thing!' LOL! The things kids will remember!!
This reminds of the ever popular the funny things kids say. I remember reading a book in Oregon once, "Kids Letter to God!" I laughed so hard I nearly peaed my pants!" So I looked to see if I could find some ... Here are a few....
