so it's been a rather uneventful evening, until we took the boys outside to do their thing. Buster took a few minutes longer than usual. He got into postition, and stayed there, 2-3 min go by and he is still "in Position"! I pulled on his leash, to see if he was okay. He was STUCK! We waited a few more minutes - nothing. No POOP. Something was wrong. I could see the knot forming on the back side from "pushing". I thought maybe his butt's clogged, ( a common problem with long haired shihtzu's!!We tried to keep it trimmed under there!".) I checked it and I couldn't see any blockage. I let it go for a minute or two, when he didn't move, Carl and I knew something was wrong. I panicked. My first thought was to call the Emergency Vet. I checked to make sure there was still nothing blocking it, when I felt his back, it was HARD! I panicked for sure. I thought for sure it was gonna be a trip to the emergency room. I did the next thing that will permantely gross me out for the rest of my life. I had to help him finish the job. I grabbed and pulled. you can picture the rest! Or don't! LOL!Fortunately it worked, however to my displeasure, barely missing my fingers. The grass was wet from the sprinklers, so I wipped my hands several times on the grass to get the smell out and to make sure i had nothing on my hands. It was okay.

Once the poop was out, Buster was a HAPPY dog!!I don't know how long he had been like that. I am scheduling a vet appointment tomorrow. I am still GROSSED To the MAX!!
