Thursday
Another Thursday down, can't wait for Friday!
So I got pulled into Teresa's office (with the door closed!LOL!), just as I was headed home. I was actually quite shocked at the response I got from her.She knew that I had talked to Robyn about it. She actually looked like she was sad that I was even considering leaving. She told me how she appreciated me and we talked about what had happened. I didn't want to make that the number one reason, if I was leaving. (I do but I don't!)A few of the jobs I applied for asked if they could contact my current employer, so I checked yes. I know that they might call. I didn't think that would be a good thing if they did. I haven't even had anything solid yet, but to see the concern that I was thinking about it, really suprised me. I did not plan it that way.
She also asked me when the last time I had a raise. I laughed and told her I honestly wasn't sure! She said she would look into it. I didn't want it to look like that was on purpose either. Does that make sense. Teresa knew what I meant. I am totally shocked and humbled. I do realize that one of the fabulous things about my job is, the people I work with, yes it sucks coverage wise sometimes and the drama gets old, but no other job would I have the flexibility that I have and she (teresa) doesn't want to ruin that because of one person. That makes total sense to me! I will still keep looking because there are also other factors that do play into it, and I let her know that too!
On a lighter note - If you want to call it that
*STOP Reading if you do not want Olympic Spoilers!I*
Figure Skating is still one of my favorites! I love little Emily Hughes. While I don't care for Sasha all that much. Her personality rubs me the wrong way and some of her comments make me go HUMMM... I really did like the Russian gal.
She's very sweet and humble and an amazing story to tell, but it was nice to see the Japanese get excited too.
I guess I am not to disappointed that Sasha didn't win gold!
