It's Raining It's Pouring - The Old Man is Snoring
WAHOOO!! Hey look at that my weather girl has an umbrella! How cute is that! There is funny wet stuff falling from the sky. It's not steady. It will come for a bit and then just a whole lot of lightening and then a little rain. I forget how impressive the lightening storms are here. Not much thunder, which is good for the dogs.
Speaking of the dogs. They gave me a good scare this morning. Well, Bilko did. I work swing shift on Friday (11-6). So I was doing my morning routine, I noticed someone had thrown up once in the hall way and then again in my office. Bilko was acting a little sluggish. He's usually hyper in the morning. I watched him for a bit. Before I knew it there were three more throw up spots under my desk. The wierd part is he doesn't make any sound when he's doing it. One of them I couldn't tell if it was poop or throw up. Sorry don't mean to make it gross. But I panicked. I called the vet. The vet can't get him in until Monday. But he said to pay close attention to him -if he throws up more or won't eat, to call back and get him in. He advised feeding him rice and or chicken or chicken broth, and to make sure he was drinking water -at least.
He wouldn't do any of the above. I called work and told them I would be late. I was hoping to get him in the vet. I called the vet back. He told him not to give him anything med wise. He said sometimes they can take pepto bismal, but he said to wait. He said is sound like something just viral, could be the heat or something he ate. But he was worried that he was dehydrated.
Finally - Before I left for work, I got the rice and gave some to both Buster and Bilko, then Bilko decided if Buster could have it, he could to. So he ate it. He threw up again. Then all of a sudden he wanted more and was acting somewhat normal again. He finally took a ice cube too, after I gave Buster one! LOL! They are so funny that way! A little jealous of each other!Like siblings! LOL!
Anyway - I ended up going in to work late around 12:30. But it was all good. He's doing much better this evening!
We just worked on projects for kits for the holidays.
Late this evening the storms started up again! Carl could hear the thunder better than I could. The dogs definately sensed it. Buster would watch out the window.
I hope it continues tomorrow!
Tomorrow - I am going to pick up Harry Potter 6 at Costco! YIPPEE!

Oh I love the rain. I love storms. I wish we had them more often.
